I’ve noticed that even in the spiritual community, people tend to carry the baggage of their previous religion, even after they claim to be more “conscious”.
The phrase “out-of-alignment” seems to be the new replacement for “sinful”, “demonic”, or “unholy”.
In the same way that religion tends to oppress people by condemning their “sinful” acts, I see “conscious” people doing the same thing by treating certain behavior as “out-of-alignment”, or not “high vibrational” enough.
For some people, smoking a cigarette may be out-of-alignment, but for others, it’s very much IN-alignment. For some, being vegetarian or vegan is the more spiritually attuned lifestyle, but for others it’s absolute torture!
Being “in-alignment” has nothing to do with reaching a perfected “enlightened” state. What it actually means to be in-alignment, is simply doing whatever works best for YOU right now, based on where you’re at.
You’ve gotta learn how to walk before you can run. It isn’t fair to expect someone to know what you know, when they haven’t had your experience. You can’t use your perspective to invalidate someone elses perspective.
Being in-alignment is more a matter of self-love than anything else. Be true to yourself. Ask yourself, “What do I actually need?”, and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks of you.
No matter what other people say, or how much they judge you, YOU are the only one who gets to live your life, so you might as well be honest with yourself and be who you are. You are who you are for a reason, and the moment you learn to fully embrace where you are RIGHT NOW, instead of where you wish you were, is the moment you truly come “in-alignment”.
